Page 92 <br /> September 2, 1980 <br /> 5.3 Shirley Nelson Hill - Request for Extension <br /> The Council had previously granted priority status to obtain the On Sale Liquor <br /> License available in Hugo with an expiration date of 9/16/80, to Mrs. Hill. Mrs. <br /> Hill was present and requested an extension of time because of numerous requirements <br /> made by the Planning Commission. Mrs. Hill has purchased the adjoining property <br /> from Stan Lynn, and the Commission has required htat both parcels be joined into <br /> one deed. The newly purchased property is to be used for parking and the septic <br /> system used for the new liquor establishment. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that Mr. .Shirley Nelson <br /> Hill be given an extension on her priority status to obtain an <br /> On Sale Liquor License until December 15, 1980, for property located <br /> in the eartern part of the city. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.0 REPORTS OF OFFICERS & COMMITTEES <br /> 6. 1 Ordinance Committee - Nor report <br /> 6.2 Planning Commission - No report <br /> 6.3 Water Superintendent - No report <br /> 6.4 Building Inspector. <br /> Mr. Crever submitted his monthly report. <br /> 6.6 Attorney <br /> Mr. Johnson submitted his monthly report. Mr. Johnson submitted a letter regarding <br /> certain questionable areas in the proposed Police Contract with Washington County. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, directing the City Attorney <br /> to draft a letter to Mr. Kelly, Washington County Attorney, stating <br /> his concerns. Mr. Johnson to set a meeting in order to resolve this <br /> matter. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.7 Engineer <br /> Mr. Kuusisto submitted his monthly report. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, directing the City Engineer <br /> to do a study for improvement of 130th Street in the Bald Eagle In- <br /> dustrial park, including storm sewer and blacktopping, from Highway 61 <br /> to where the road is barricaded. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The Council discussed the condition of 180th Street. Howard Schletty was directed <br /> to set a meeting with Forest Lake Township to try and resolve this problem. <br /> Mayor LaValle stated that keys have been distributed to members of the Washington <br /> County Sheriff's Office for occasional use of the old Police Department office. No <br /> records will be kept in this office. <br />
