May 18, 1981
5.5 Vernon Giese - Site Plan Approval
Mr. Giese, 14227 Forest Boulevard, RB zone, would like to move in a 14 x 20
garage to be used for personal storage. The Building Inspector has inspected the
building, and approved of its condition.
MOTION: Vail made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve the Site Plan for
Vernon Giese, 14227 Forest Boulevard, to move in a 14 x 20 garage onto
his property.
VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail
MOTION CARRIED
5.2 William Clark - Expiration of Letter of Credit
The City Engineer had reported previously that the erosion control was not taken
care of across the road from the Clark property. Mr. Clark had removed fill for
the construction of his home at 12601 Homestead Drive from this land. Clark stated
that the Letter of Credit, which expires June 1 , 1981 , was a guarantee for his house
only, and not for property across the road.. The top of the hill has been seeded,
and is working, but more bales of hay would be required and additional seeding along
the bottom portion. Mrs. Gunn, owner of the property where the fill was removed,
stated that they have spent over $2,000 trying to stop the water erosion. She
was not aware that additional bales of hay were required, and stated that they are
now going to bring more, heavier soil, and will be doing additional seeding.
Schletty stated that upon inspection of the area, that there was sand in the ditch
they needs to be removed. Mr. Clark agreed to remove the necessary amount of sand
from the ditch, and Mrs. Gunn stated that she was willing to take the responsibility
to see that the erosion problem is solved.
MOTION: McAllister made motion that the Letter of Credit be reduced from $2,500 to
$500 and be extended to cover the erosion control on the west side of
Homestead Drive in the vicinity of Lot 5. Erosion control to be to the
satisfaction of the City Engineer.
MOTION FAILED FOR LACK OF SECOND.
MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Vail, that Mr.. Clark will put in twice as
many control structures as is existing, and will clean out the ditch right-
of-way by/on May 28, 1981 or he will supply the city with an extended
Letter of Credit, in the amount of $500.00, running to July 31 , 1981 . Such
Letter of Credit to be in the clerk's office at 8:00 AM, June 1 , 1981 , or •
the existing Letter of Credit will drawn upon if one of the above two con-
ditions are not met (work completed or extended Letter of Credit). Work
will be subject to. the satisfaction of the City Engineer.
VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail
MOTION CARRIED
5.8 Jeffrey Barbour - Amended Special Use Permit
No application has been submitted as of this date.
MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the matter be tabled until
an application is completed by Jeffrey Barbour.
VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail
MOTION CARRIED
