r'!-7 ,i June 1 , 1981 8.2 Minutes of Special Meeting - May 11 , 1981 MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Vail, to approve the minutes of the Special Meeting of May 11 , 1981 , after the following addition has been made: Let the record show that there had been no visible increase in the duties by the City Clerk despite efforts by the governing body to call to her attention, on numerous occasions during the past several years, the problems associated with her performance. VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Vail MOTION CARRIED 8.3 Hiring of Bookkeeper MOTION: Motion made by McAllister that the City of Hugo will be accepting applications for a bookkeeper/consultant. Resumes to be submitted with application to Hugo City Hall by July 6, 1981 . McAllister withdrew his motion. MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Vail, that the Mayor and Councilman- at-Large draft an appropriate advertisement to be placed in the official city newspaper and authorize to have published. VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Vail MOTION CARRIED MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by LaValle, to set a Special Meeting(workshop) for June 16, 1981 , at 7:00 PM, to consider city operations and city staff positions. VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Vail MOTION CARRIED 8.5 Delinquent Utility Bills MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by LaValle, directing the Water Superin- tendent or Jim Wisner to follow:.the instructions of the registered letters from the City Council sent to delinquent utility accounts. VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister VOTING AGAINST: Vail MOTION CARRIED Mayor LaValle stated that he would contact Mike Maslowski regarding his delin- quent sewer bills. 10.0 MISCELLANEOUS Let the record show that Councilman McAllister met with Mike Wikelius, DOT, re- garding the crosswalk on Highway 61. This matter to be placed on the agenda for June 15th.
