September 8, 1981 <br /> 6.7 Engineer <br /> Mr. Kuusisto submitted his monthly report. Councilman Vail stated that the crossing <br /> at 130th Street and Highway 61 will be closed 8/14/81 and possibly 8/15/81 for re- <br /> pairs on the railroad tracks. <br /> NSP is proposing the installation of gas mains across Highway 61 to 130th Street. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that NSP Job Order G647305 be <br /> approved subject to compliance with the recommendations of the City Engineer. <br /> VOTING FOR: Irsfeld, McAllister, Vail. <br /> VOTING AGAINST: LaValle and Schletty <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Vail, that approval of NSP Job Order <br /> G647305 be conditioned on NSP provide a $50,000 Letter of Credit, acceptable <br /> to the City, to insure compliance with the requirements of the City Engineer. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.8 Clerk <br /> /plat and parcel <br /> The City has received a letter from Washington County regarding 35135-2350, stating <br /> that the Highway Department will turn the lot over to—the City if the City will <br /> abate the local taxes, penalties, costs, and interest. <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the City of Hugo accept <br /> Washington County's proposal for Lot 35135-2350. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The City has received a letter from the.Washington County Sheriff's Office regarding <br /> the purchase of a radar unit for $545.00. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the City of Hugo is not <br /> interested in purchasing radar. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by McAllister, to set a public hearing for <br /> October 5, 1981 , at 8:00 PM, for the purpose of an assessment hearing for <br /> Project 8102. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The Clerk received Anfinson's cost estimate for auditing the city's books in 1982 - <br /> $7,000.00. The City did not feel that they should change auditors every year, eli- <br /> minating the necessity for bids. Irsfeld will check with the State Auditor to see <br /> if they have a program available to city's for auditing. <br /> MOTION: Schletty made motion, seconded by Vail, to extend meeting passed 11:00 PM. <br /> All aye.
