October 5, 1981 <br /> 8.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 8.1 White Bear Lake Paramedic Service <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion to table this matter until the meeting of 10/19/81. <br /> LaValle withdrew his motion. <br /> The Fire Chief had attended a meeting regarding this matter,and stated that the <br /> $2,000 would go in its entirety for the training of the paramedics. There was no <br /> table provided as to cost to the city in the future.. It costs $6500. to train a <br /> man, with no assurance that they will stay with the White Bear service. McAllister <br /> did not have a problem with Hugo participating in the payment of the training. <br /> MOTION: Schletty made motion, seconded by McAllister, to table the matter until <br /> the meeting of November 2, 1981 . <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld,Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 8.2 Refurbish Rescue Truck <br /> The Fire Chief suggested that the rescue truck be refurbished by Granger's Body <br /> Shop in the amount of $1577.00, and between $300 - $400 for re lettering. There was <br /> discussion as to the feasibility of having the truck repaired now or wait until <br /> later. <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Vail, that the Fire Chief be authorized to <br /> have the rescue truck refurbished and repainted, in an amount not to ex- <br /> ceed $2,000.00. <br /> VOTING FOR: Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> VOTING AGAINST: McAllister and LaValle <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 8.3 1982 Budget <br /> LaValle stated that there could be changes in some of the figures as proposed (reve- <br /> nue sharing and local government aid) .. <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Vail, to adopt the 1982 budget, in the <br /> amount of $363,041 and that we certify the maximum levy limitation of <br /> $236,944.00. <br /> Irsfeld withdrew his motion. <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by McAllister, to adopt RESOLUTION 1981-17, <br /> A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE ANNUAL LEVY TO THE COUNTY AUDITOR IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $236,944.00. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> VOTING AGAINST: Schletty <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br />
