September 71 <br /> , 1982 78 <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, McAllister seconded, that. the Letter of. Credit for <br /> Rolling Green Properties be reduced from $15,000.00 to $5,000.00, with the <br /> same expiration date (10/14/82) . Reason for reduction is that project is <br /> complete except for final inspection of the plumbing, heating, and electrical. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 6.0 REPORTS OF OFFICERS & COMMITTEES <br /> 6.1 Ordinance Committee - No discussion <br /> 6.2 Planning Commission - No discussion <br /> 6.3 Water Superintendent <br /> Mr. Burkard was present to inform the Council of work performed by the Utility De- <br /> partment during the summer. He stated that the ladder on the water tower has been <br /> enclosed. The State Health Department will now be charging the city for chemical <br /> analysis - $105.00 for a 15 month period. <br /> 6.4 Building Inspector <br /> Mr. Crever submitted his monthly report. He stated that Len Noack would like to <br /> move his house to property located on 165th Street. That area has poor soil for <br /> onsite septic systems, and Crever was instructed to work with Dale Eklin as to a <br /> design that will satisfy the requirements of the city. <br /> MISCELLANEOUS <br /> Mr. Tony Vilgos was present requesting permission from the City Council to close <br /> the streets surrounding the City Park for a Bike-a-Thon on September 18, 1982 <br /> from 11 :00 AM to 3:00 PM. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the bike-a-thon for <br /> St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital on September 18, 1982, from <br /> 11 :00 Am to 3:00 PM, and for 147th Street, Upper 146th Street, Finale, <br /> and Fitzgerald Avenue to be barricaded from other than local traffic. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.4 Public Hearing - Ordinance 187 <br /> The public hearing was called to order at 8:04 PM. Tom Crever and Mary Ann Creager <br /> went on record as being in favor of the proposed ordinance. The proposed ordinance <br /> would limit the dimension of a residence to 24' . Clayton Green, residentof the <br /> trailer park, stated he would like to be able to move his trailer onto a lot with- <br /> out someone telling him he can't. The citizens present were not in favor of the <br /> ordinance as presently worded. Because there were only three Councilmen present, <br /> no action could be taken. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, McAllister seconded, to recess the public hearing <br /> until 8/20/82 at 8:00 PM. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
