All aye. Motion Carried. <br />DISCUSSION ON EDA MEETING DATES <br />Staff discussed changing the day of the meeting with the EDA. They currently are on the <br />same morning as the City Council meetings. There has been concern about the meeting being <br />on the same day. Since the EDA meets once a month, the recommendations to the Council <br />usually come from the EDA that same day. It does not give the Council time to review the <br />recommendation from the EDA prior to the Council meeting. Staff recommended the EDA <br />discuss this issue. <br />Bever made a motion, seconded by Denaway, to change the EDA Meeting dates to the 2nd <br />Monday of each month with the condition of approval from EDA Commissioners Granger <br />and Thistle. <br />UPDATE ON DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT AND COMMERCIAL PROJECTS <br />Staff updated the EDA on the progress of downtown redevelopment and the Carpenters <br />Project. The EDA talked about the Ricci's and the End Zone property. There is a PAWS pet <br />hospital that is proposed to be located just west of Lake Area Bank and staff updated the <br />EDA on there progress. <br />UPDATE ON THE BR&E PROGRAM <br />Shayla Syverson updated the EDA on the progress of the BR&E program. The first <br />Leadership Team meeting will be on June 18, 2009. The members of the Leadership Team <br />are Galen Carlson, Deb Barnes, Pat Nygaard, and Beth Jameston. The Leadership Team will <br />be recruiting the Task Force Team of about 20-30 people. The surveys of the businesses <br />should start in September or October. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Denaway made a motion, seconded by Klein, to adjourn at 10:35 am. <br />All Ayes, Motion Carried. <br />
