UPDATE ON WASHINGTON COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />WORKGROUP <br />Staff informed the EDA that the workgroup had selected Springsted as the economic <br />development consultant. During the meeting on Monday, September 9 Springsted staff <br />outlined their plans for compiling dates for the study, and how they would be <br />collaborating with the workgroup in the coming months ensuring completion of the <br />study. <br />UPDATE ON DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT <br />Staff met with a developer looking to develop parcels across from Lions Park. The <br />development would consist of Senior Living facilities including memory care, assisted <br />living, and independent living. A later phase of the development would include market <br />rate rental housing. <br />Staff continues to meet with Pete Sampair on the redevelopment of his property. <br />Staff met with Premier Banks to speak with them about their land holdings within the city <br />and potential for the future development of those parcels. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Denaway made a motion, seconded by Puleo, to adjourn at 6:20 pm. <br />All ayes.
