DUSCUSSION ON MAXFIELD RESEARCH INC. PROPOSAL TO UPDATE <br />THE DOWNTOWN MARKET STUDY <br />Staff received proposal for the Maxfield Research Downtown Market Study. EDA was <br />informed that the study would cost $18,500. Gallivan was concerned with the price. <br />Staff informed EDA that the cost of the study would be covered by the LCDA grant <br />money. <br />Klein made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve the Maxfield Study. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />UPDATE ON DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT <br />Staff informed EDA of work being done regarding roadway alignments, a senior housing <br />project, and the interest of possible restaurants which could move to the area. <br />GOOD NEIGHBOR FOOD SHELF <br />Weidt acknowledged EDA meeting attendants Kris Emerson & Cindy Petty, <br />representatives of the Hugo Good Neighbor Food Shelf. Food Shelf representatives <br />outlined the current number of families and individuals being helped in our community, <br />and how current facility space is not sufficient for the increasing need. Food Shelf <br />representatives are currently researching grants to pair with their current fundraising <br />funds to help create a new Food Shelf building. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Klein made a motion, seconded by Bever, to adjourn at 6:20 prn. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />
