Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for December 21, 2015 <br />Page 9 of 10 <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to direct staff to draft a letter to the subcommittee, General <br />Nash, and our legislators supporting the retention of the displayed military artwork at the State <br />Capitol. <br />All Ayes Motion carried. <br />Discussion on Hugo Area Business Association Holiday Gathering <br />Petryk added this to agenda to thank the Hugo Area Business Association for the Holiday <br />Gathering held on December 8, 2015 at the Hugo American Legion. She encouraged all <br />businesses to consider joining the HBA <br />President of the St. Paul Board of Water Commissioners Matt Anfan2 <br />Haas added this to the agenda to solicit support for Matt Anfang's reappointment to the St. Paul <br />Board of Water Commissioners. Haas stated that there was concern that the Mayor of St. Paul <br />wanted to make changes on the Board, and Matt would appreciate the City's support to be <br />reappointed. Haas reminded Council that Matt was instrumental on helping the City by being a <br />part of the solution to the replacement of the Bald Eagle Lake deteriorating dam, and he helped <br />get the St. Paul Regional Water Authority to contribute $33,000 for the project. <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to direct staff to write a letter to the Mayor stating how <br />important the St. Paul Regional Water Authority was in helping solve the problem, and Matt <br />Anfang's leadership role was appreciated. <br />«uu <br />All Ayes. Motion carried.��ggq <br />At the December 7, 2015 meeting, Council adopted a resolution respectfully declining the <br />petition for improvements to the 180th Street/Foxhill Avenue and directing staff to schedule a <br />neighborhood meeting to solicit input from the property owners about potential repairs and/or <br />improvements. Staff recommended Council schedule a neighborhood meeting for Monday, <br />January 25, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Hugo City Hall. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to schedule a meeting with residents on 180th Street and <br />Foxhill Avenue for Monday, January 25, 2016 to discuss improvement to the roads. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Warm Hearts for Charity Event on Saturday, January 23, 2016 <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed the Council that the Hugo Area Business Association <br />will hold their annual Warm Hearts for Charity Event at the Hugo American Legion on Saturday, <br />January 23, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. Proceeds from this event will help support American Diabetes, <br />Alzheimer's, Autism Research, Good Neighbors Food Shelf, Hugo Lions, and other charities. <br />
