BACKGROUND MEMO FOR THE EDA MEETING OF <br />TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2013 <br />3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Staff recommends approval of the minutes from the October 8, 2013, and the November <br />12, 2013, EDA meetings as presented. <br />4. DISCUSSION ON MARKETING RFO PROPOSALS <br />At its meeting in October, the EDA tabled the discussion on the proposals of the <br />marketing RFQ. There were two proposals at the time that stood out to the EDA. Staff <br />has included the two proposals for the EDA to review and discuss. Staff recommends the <br />EDA discuss each proposal and provide staff with direction on how to move forward. <br />5. UPDATE ON WASHINGTON COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />STRATEGIC PLAN <br />Staff will update the EDA on the Washington County economic development strategic <br />plan. <br />6. UPDATE ON DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT <br />Staff will update the EDA on downtown redevelopment. <br />7.2014 GOAL SETTING <br />Each year, the City Commissions and City Council adopt goals. The adopted goals are <br />very important to the staff as they help us prioritize our work over the year. This year, the <br />staff would like to change the framework of the goal setting discussions to ensure that we <br />are meeting the expectations of the Commissions. Please take some time to think about <br />the questions in advance, and plan to participate in the goal setting sessions, as the <br />outcome of these sessions will guide your Commission and the work of the City staff <br />over the next year. <br />
