Public Works <br />Private Well Sealing <br />Ow, Property owners may obtain financial assistance for sealing abandoned wells. <br />11 Applicants may be eligible for cost -share (50%) or full -cost reimbursement. You must <br />complete an application, receive approval, and have a signed agreement in place <br />before proceeding with any well sealing. Please contact the Washington County <br />Department of Public Health and Environment at 651-430-6655 for more information. <br />Hydrant Flushing <br />Starting May 5th <br />As part of many other spring projects, the Public Works Department will be flushing <br />e`1 C/� hydrants starting May 5th. We expect it to take about two weeks to complete all <br />L hydrants. Flushing purges rust and stagnant water from the distribution system and <br />identifies hydrants in need of maintenance. '°§qa <br />d <br />s <br />Questions?Call the Hugo City Hall at 651-762-6300 <br />Street Sweeping <br />Starting April 1st <br />The Public Works Department <br />will be sweeping all public <br />paved streets beginning on April <br />1St Sweeping takes place <br />Monday through Friday <br />between 7:OOam and 4:30pm. It <br />will take approximately two <br />weeks to complete. Private <br />roads are swept by <br />homeowners associations. <br />Compost Site <br />The compost site is located on <br />the south side of 170th St North <br />approximately 1/2 mile west of <br />Highway 61. The site is open for <br />Hugo residents only from April <br />15th through November 1st <br />on Wednesdays from 4pm to <br />8:OOpm or dusk and Saturdays <br />from 10:OOam to S:OOpm. This is <br />a deposit site for grass clippings, <br />leaves, and soft organic matter <br />only. No brush, twigs, branches <br />or woody materials accepted. <br />Questions?
