Block Parties — Kitty Cheesebrow was present to share all the details of the block party she is
planning for Sweet Grass Meadows. She is very well organized and has had tremendous support
from her neighbors. They should have a great time. The Lions will be contributing a roasted pig for
the party and they will be present to talk about the benefits of belonging to the Lions. Other City and
County representatives will also attend the party. Beaver Ponds is also holding a block party and it is
possible that a resident of Country Ponds will be organizing a party this year.
The City is very supportive of block parties however they will not be involved in planning them
directly. The City will work towards putting together a packet on how to organize block parties and
it should be available to assist Hugo neighborhoods the future. The Lions Club has committed to
supporting two block parties a year as long as they are able to promote their organization at the party
and other civic groups are invited to the gathering.
III.
