Minutes <br />Hugo, Minnesota Parks and Recreation Open Space Commission Meeting <br />June 9, 2004 <br />7:00 p.m. <br />Oneka Room — City Hall <br />Meeting Chair: Pete Pedersen <br />Minutes By: Chris Petree <br />Present: Parks Commission: Roger Clarke, Pete Pederson, Steven Lacher, Tom Weidt, Jim <br />Keithahn and Jennifer May. <br />Planning Commission: Kelly Bailly. <br />Staff Chris Petree. <br />Consultant: Laurie McRostie. <br />Absent: Kitty Cheesebrow. <br />I. Approve Minutes from May 12, 2004 meeting <br />Weidt made a motion, May seconded, to accept the Minutes from the May 12, 2004 Parks <br />Commission Meeting. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />II. Approve Park Naming Guidelines <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree introduced the revised park naming guidelines for Park <br />Commission discussion. <br />Weidt made a motion, Lacher seconded, to accept the revised park naming guidelines. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />III. Beaver Ponds Park — Parking Lot & Landscaping Plan <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree provided an explanation of the parking lot design <br />completed by Passe Engineering. Petree also provided the park commission with the <br />scope of work from Landscape Architect Laurie McRostie on completing the landscaping <br />plan. <br />Lacher made a motion, Weidt seconded, to accept the parking lot design for Beaver Ponds <br />Park. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />IV. Rice Lake Park Concept Plan — U.S. Soccer Foundation Grant <br />Landscape Architect Laurie McRostie was in attendance and gave an overview of the <br />concept plan for Rice Lake Park.
