Minutes <br />City of Hugo <br />Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting <br />May 14, 2008 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />Call to Order <br />Roger Clark Called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />Present: Roger Clarke, Rachel Berger, Dan Gabrielli, Melissa Parker, Pete Pedersen, Noel Schmidt, <br />Jim Taylor, Russell Schmidt, Dave Strub <br />Staff Present: Chris Petree - Public Works Director, Debi Close - Secretary <br />I. Approval of Minutes of April 9, 2008 <br />Strub made a motion, Russell Schmidt seconded to approve the minutes of the April 09, 2008 <br />Parks Commission meeting. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />II. Oak Shore Park Neighborhood Meeting <br />Bill Back from EFA gave a presentation of the types of play equipment, use, colors and <br />materials. Residents determined the best color selections were earth tones. The equipment <br />selected on the proposed plan, matched with what the residents and the commission members <br />had desired. Suggestion of a teeter totter was made to replace the spring toy in the play area. <br />Pedersen made a motion, Gabrielli seconded to elect color choice as green, tan and brown for <br />the play equipment at Oak Shore Park. <br />All Aye. Motion Carried. <br />Taylor made a motion, Berger seconded to approve the selection of the equipment and to <br />change spring toy to a teeter totter. <br />All Aye. Motion carried. <br />Color selection for the shelter by the residents was unanimous on a green roof with brown <br />posts. <br />
