VII. Update on Parks Commission Vacancies <br />Scott Anderson gave an update that there are five applicants for the three Parks <br />Commission vacancies and that interviews will be conducted by the City Council on <br />January 25 at 7:OOpm. <br />VIII. Update from Parks and Recreation Proarammina Sub -Committee <br />Shayla Syverson gave an update that there have been 303 surveys received as a part of <br />the Community Growth Options project. Erik Cedarleaf-Dahl will present his final report <br />at the February meeting. <br />The upcoming events at Oneka Gym include Family Game Nights, a Movie Night and a <br />Snow Jam. Also, plans were made to do a second annual Sledding Party at Oak Shore <br />Park. The event will be held Saturday February 6 from 2-4 pm. Rachel Berger <br />volunteered to coordinate hot chocolate, juice and snacks for the event. <br />Noel Schmidt made a motion, Dave Strub seconded to allocate up to $500 for food and <br />beverages for the event. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />IX. Acknowledgement of Parks Commission Service <br />On behalf of the Parks Commission, Jim Taylor thanked Roger Clarke for his service as <br />the Chair of the Parks Commission and acknowledged his leadership in the successes <br />of the Commission. <br />X. Adjournment <br />Rachel Berger made a motion, Roger Clarke seconded to adjourn the meeting at <br />8:40pm. <br />Next Meeting: February 10, 2010 <br />
