Minutes <br />Parks Commission, City of Hugo <br />May 9, 2012 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />Council Chambers, City Hall <br />I <br />Call to Order <br />Present: Kris Birch, Chris Boland, Roger Clarke, Mat Rauschendorfer, Dave Strub, <br />Jim Taylor, Tom Windisch <br />Absent: Joan Benner, Rachel Berger <br />Staff Present: Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner <br />Anna Wobse, Accounting Clerk <br />Jim Taylor called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />I. Approval of Minutes from March Meeting <br />Strub made a motion, Taylor seconded to approve the minutes of the March 14, 2012 <br />Parks Commission meeting. <br />Aye — Birch, Rauschendorfer, Strub, Taylor <br />Abstained — Boland, Clarke, Windisch <br />Motion Carried. <br />Golden Snike Contest Saonsorshia Reauest <br />Parks Planner, Shayla Syverson presented to the Parks Commission a letter from Carter <br />Johnson and Deb Barnes of The Citizen asking the Commission for a $250.00 <br />sponsorship for the 2012 Hunt for the Golden Spike. The annual hunt is held during <br />Good Neighbor Days and "Spike" is always hidden in a city park or public property. <br />Syverson informed the Commission that the sponsorship would include numerous <br />advertising opportunities that would help promote Hugo parks and that funding is <br />available for the sponsorship in the 2012 recreation budget. <br />-1— <br />Parks Commission <br />May 9, 2012 <br />
