age separated play features, visible basketball court and skate park plus significant open space <br />for flexibility future uses. <br />Members of the Hugo Lions Club as well as residents that live near the park provided feedback <br />on the proposed plan. Changes suggested included adding a backstop, providing a covered <br />stage area near the pavilion, and looking at the grading near the shelter to ensure that a winter <br />skating area could be created. <br />IV. LaValle Proaerties Park Dedication <br />Elizabeth Hanson, Planning Intern and Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner gave a presentation on <br />the potential development for the LaValle property that is adjacent to the Lions Park on the West <br />side. The development has submitted a sketch plan for informal feed back that includes 3 multi- <br />family residential buildings with 244 units on 14.44 buildable acres. The first phase would be an <br />Assisted Living facility, followed by a Commonbond apartment building, and then third phase <br />would be an Congregate Care facility. A concept plan was provided by Brunton Architects. The <br />developer is looking to satisfy park dedication requirements with the dedication of land instead <br />of paying a fee. It is estimated that 2.45 acres would need to be dedicated. The developer is <br />proposing to expand Lions Park with acreage that is over 2.45 acres and includes storm water <br />ponds. The Developer also proposed the removal of Finale Avenue, which is to the west of the <br />park. <br />Developer Bill Lentsch and Architect Corey Brunton requested and received feedback from <br />Parks Commissioners regarding the acceptability of the proposed dedication. <br />Windisch made a motion, Benner seconded to continue discussion at the following meeting <br />All Aye.
