IV. 2015 Goal Setting <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear provided an update on the City of Hugo and was available for <br />questions while Parks Commission Members set goals for 2015. <br />Parks Planner Shayla Syverson reviewed the 2014 goals. <br />Discussion on goals included: <br />Prioritizing Lions Park Planning and waiting to plan Irish Avenue Park. <br />Continue trail connections and planning <br />Evaluate recreation needs for seniors <br />City Staff was directed to draft a 2015 goal from this discussion to be finalized at the next Parks <br />Commission meeting. <br />V. CIP and Budget Update <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner reviewed the current Parks Capital Improvement Plan and <br />summarized the special park fund, which included funded and unfunded projects. Unfunded <br />projects are only possible if funding becomes available through grants, private donations or park <br />dedication. <br />Discussion included: Special Park Fund, Lions Park costs, CIP, the parks levy, and resident <br />requests. <br />Windisch made a motion, Tennyson seconded to approve the Parks Capital Improvement Plan. <br />Aye: Nicole Schmid, Ranell Tennyson, Tom Windisch <br />Nay: Rachel Berger, Matt Rauschendorfer <br />Motion Carried. <br />VI. Forest Lake YMCA <br />Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner updated on the agreement between the City of Forest Lake <br />and the YMCA for a new facility projected to cost $13,250,000. The City of Hugo has been <br />asked to participate and provide financial support. In return each household would receive 6 <br />free passes yearly and a waived membership fee. <br />Parks Commission members would like to consider this offer and hear more information. <br />VII. Other <br />Berger reminded of the Holiday Party December 11th, 2014 <br />
