MINUTES <br />HUGO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS <br />FEBRUARY 24, 2005 <br />Chairperson Schumann called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Brunotte, Schumann <br />ABSENT: Puleo <br />ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director (CDD) <br />Michele Lindau, Secretary <br />Minutes October 28, 2004 <br />Schumann made motion, Brunotte seconded, to recommend approval of the minutes of October <br />28, 2004 as submitted. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Kettler/Pratt Construction Variance for Monument Sign for Fenway Place <br />The Board considered the application of Kettler Construction, 2 South Point Court, North Oaks, <br />and Pratt Homes, 3500 Willow Lake Boulevard, Vadnais Heights, for approval to construct a <br />four -foot high monument sign within the right-of-way on 141 st Street North for the Fenway <br />Place Development. The sign would be located in a center traffic island, which is within the <br />public right of way. Staff had determined that the center island was designed for the placement <br />of a monument sign such that it would not interfere with traffic sight lines. The monument sign <br />and the landscaping of the center island would be maintained by the Fenway Place Home Owners <br />Association. <br />Chair Schumann opened the public hearing. <br />Jim and Rosemarie Powers, 5248 141St Street North, asked what the size of the sign would be <br />and when it would be constructed. <br />Greg Burmeister from Pratt Homes said it would be approximately seven feet high, six feet wide, <br />would be constructed as soon as they received approval. <br />There were no other comments and Chair Schumann closed the public hearing. <br />Brunotte made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend approval of the monument sign for <br />
