MINUTES <br />HUGO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS <br />May 8, 2008 <br />Chairperson Schumann called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Burmeister, Schumann <br />ABSENT: Puleo <br />ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director (CDD) <br />Rachel Simone, Associate Planner <br />Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant <br />Minutes of December 27, 2007 <br />Burmeister made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend approval of the minutes for <br />December 27, 2007 as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />George Knuteson variances from the rear yard and shoreland setback requirements <br />Rachel Simone, the Associate Planner, described the application for George Knuteson at 10051 <br />Kerry Ct. N requesting a variance to construct a building addition 15 feet from the side property <br />line where 20 feet is required by ordinance. The addition is proposed to be 20 feet from South <br />School Section Lake where a 200 foot setback is required by ordinance. <br />Rachel pointed out that this meets all variance criteria and standards necessary, and that staff <br />recommends approval. <br />Schumann opened the public hearing. <br />Schumann closed the public hearing. <br />Schumann stated that the DNR is not in disagreement with the request and neither is he. <br />Burmeister moved, Schumann seconded, to approve the variance from the rear yard and <br />shoreland setback requirements. <br />All Ayes, Motion Carries. <br />
