MINUTES <br />HUGO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS <br />JUNE 9, 2005 <br />Chairperson Schumann called the meeting to order at 6:35. <br />PRESENT: Brunotte, Schumann <br />ABSENT: Puleo <br />ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director (CDD) <br />Michele Lindau, Community Development Assistant <br />Minutes May 26, 2005 <br />Brunotte made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend approval of the minutes of May 26, 2005 <br />as submitted. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Variance for Deck at 5712 15911n Street (Ricci) <br />The Board considered the request of Mike & Jill Ricci, 5712 159th Street North, for a variance <br />for a rear yard setback to construct a porch and deck 18 feet from the rear property line where 30 <br />feet is required by ordinance. The home was built approximately 39 feet from the rear property <br />line with a deck door to the rear of the home. The applicant would like to utilize this door for <br />access to the deck and porch. <br />Schumann opened the public hearing. Other than the applicant, there was no one present to <br />speak on the request. Schumann closed the public hearing. <br />The Board found that the proposal met all the standards necessary for the City to approve a <br />setback variance for a porch and deck at 5712 159th Circle North. <br />Brunotte made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend approval of the variance for 5712 <br />1591h Street North to locate a porch and deck 18 feet from the rear property line. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Variance for Accessory Building Addition at 7776 15711b Street (Lutz) <br />The Board considered the application of John and Mark Lutz for a variance to construct an <br />addition to the existing accessory building to be located 27 feet from the road right-of-way where <br />a 40 foot setback is required by ordinance. The property is located in the Agricultural Zoning <br />
