MINUTES HUGO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS JUNE 23, 2005 Chairperson Schumann called the meeting to order at 6:33. PRESENT: Brunotte, Schumann Puleo arrived at 6:35 ABSENT: None ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director (CDD) Michele Lindau, Community Development Assistant Minutes June 9, 2005 Brunotte made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend approval of the minutes of June 9, 2005 as submitted. All Ayes. Motion carried. Variance for Deck at 6469 151St Street North (Klamerus) The Board considered the application of Douglas & Melissa Klamerus, 6469 151St Street North (Sweet Grass Meadows) for a variance for a side yard setback to construct a 20' X 12'deck on their home. The structure would be located four feet from the side property line where a ten foot setback is required by ordinance. The home was built approximately 16 feet from the south side property line with a deck door located on that side of the home. The applicant would like to utilize this door for access to the deck. Schumann opened the public hearing. Other than the applicant, there was no one there who wished to speak on the request. Schumann closed the public hearing. The Commission found that the proposal met all the standards necessary to approve a variance for a side yard setback. Puleo noted that it was consistent with what had been approved in the past. Puleo made motion, Brunotte seconded, to recommend approval of a variance to locate a deck four feet from the side property line at 6469 151St Street North. All Ayes. Motion carried.
