The applicant is asking
for a variance to allow their septic system to be 45 ft from the ordinary high water mark where 75
ft is required. She added that Washington County has approved the mound and system on the
neighboring property.
Rachel pointed out that this meets all variance criteria, spirit, intent, and standards necessary, and
that staff recommends approval.
Schumann opened the public hearing.
The applicant Dan Tennyson came forth to answer questions from the Board of Zoning.
Puleo asked if the pipe would impact Ingersoll Ave. to go underneath the roadway.
Mr. Tennyson explained to the Board that the improvements to his septic system would not
impact Ingersoll Ave. and would use construction methods to tunnel under the roadway.
Schumann closed the public hearing.
Schumann explained that this is a common occurrence in this area and sees no issues with the
request.
