RESOLUTION NO. 2016 - <br />A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED <br />147th STREET/ONEKA LAKE BLVD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, by a motion passed by the council on December 21, 2015, the City Engineer was <br />directed to prepare a Feasibility Report related to the improvement of the 147th Street / Oneka Lake <br />Boulevard Street Improvement Project. <br />WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed <br />improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed <br />or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as <br />recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for <br />affected parcels. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The council will consider the improvement of 1471h Street/Oneka Lake Boulevard from <br />Foxhill Avenue to Goodview Avenue and the assessment of affected property for all or a portion <br />of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total <br />cost of the improvement of $1,300,000. <br />2. A hearing shall be held on the 16th day of February, 2016 at City Hall, 14669 Fitzgerald <br />Avenue North on or after 7:00 p.m. to consider the improvements and at such time and place all <br />persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard <br />with reference to the proposed improvements. <br />The city clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed project to <br />be published twice in the official newspaper, with the second notice to be at least three days <br />prior to the hearing. The city clerk shall state in the notice the area proposed to be assessed, the <br />general nature of the improvements, and the total estimated cost of the improvement.
