FEBRUARY 24, 2014
7 P.M.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Weidt, Council Members Bronk, Klein, Petryk
COUNCIL ABSENT: Council Member Haas
STAFF PRESENT: City Engineer Jay Kennedy, Public Works Director Scott Anderson, and
Senior Engineering Technician Steve Duff
Approximately 30 residents from the 165th Street neighborhood attended the meeting. City
Engineer Jay Kennedy provided an update of previous meetings and presented new information
regarding the mill overlay. Jay presented the cores taken from the 165th Street/Ingersoll Avenue
roads which showed the thickness of the existing asphalt.
Resident Katie Riopel presented a petition signed by residents who were in favor of the project.
Other residents asked questions of staff on the proposed project, many which were related to the
speeds on the roads and the potential of a speed study to be done by MnDot.
Mayor Weidt asked for a show of hands of those in favor of the project, and the majority present
were in favor it.
Bronk made motion, Klein seconded, to adjourn at 8:30 p.m.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
