1. Call to Order and Welcome & 2. Introductions
Mayor Miron called the meeting to order and the attendees introduced themselves.
3. I -35E Mn Pass
Brad Larsen, Minnesota Department of Transportation, provided an update on the I -35E
Mn Pass program. Supporting legislation was not approved by the state in the 2012
session but construction is proceeding as part of the I-35 E Cayuga Project and with
existing Mn Pass authority. MnDOT is planning the addition of MnPASS Express Lanes
on I-35 E between Pennsylvania Avenue and Little Canada Road.
Wayne Norris, Minnesota Department of Transportation, provided an update on the
current construction of the Maryland Avenue bridge.
Larsen said that there will be public outreach to provide information on construction and
operation of the I-35 E Mn Pass lanes.
4. Update on the Rush Line Corridor
Washington County Senior Planner Ann Pung-Terwedo provided an update on the Rush
Line Corridor Project. As of October 31, 2012, the contract expires to provide bus
service to Forest Lake and Columbus. The Rush Line Task Force is planning to conduct
a detailed alternative analysis to look at all types of transportation options and how they
may be integrated.
5. Discussion on I-35 Study
Wayne Norris, Minnesota Department of Transportation, provided an update on the I-35
Corridor Study. The study focused on transit ridership and managed facility options.
Recommendations from the study will be available in November, 2012.

6. Update on Federal Transportation Bill
Scott Pederson, Minnesota Department of Transportation, provided an update that the
Federal Transportation Bill was approved and provided funding until 2014. Funding for
transportation enhancements will be allocated 50% to the state and 50% to local agencies
through grants. The bill also included increased safety funding, new performance
measures, planning requirements, and strategic planning of a national freight system.
7. Updates from the Cities and Counties
City and County representatives shared updates on their transportation planning and
construction efforts.
8. Next Meeting Date and Set Future Agenda
Members agreed that the next meeting shall be held in early December to discuss the
recommendations from the I-35 Corridor Study. The City of Hugo shall set a date and
send out meeting notifications.
The meeting ended at 9:00pm.
