MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON JUNE 20, 2011 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:09 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Weidt, Miron <br />ABSENT: None <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mike Ericson, Community Development Director Bryan <br />Bear, City Attorney Dave Snyder, Parks Planner Shayla Syverson, and City Clerk Michele <br />Lindau <br />Moment of Silence for John Simone <br />Mayor Miron called for a moment of silence for John Simone, father of City Planner Rachel <br />Juba, who passed away on June 14, 2011. John was 54 years old. <br />Approval of the Minutes for the City Council Meeting on June 6, 2011 <br />Weidt made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held <br />on June 6, 2011 as presented. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of the Agenda <br />Haas added to the agenda discussion on the trees along CSAH 8. <br />Recognition of Mayor Fran Miron for his Induction into the Forest Lake Area Schools Hall <br />of Fame <br />At its June 6, 2011 City Council meeting, the Council tabled this item due to the absence of the <br />Mayor at the meeting because he was being honored at the Forest Lake School's Annual <br />Academic Awards Night as an inductee into the inaugural of Forest Lake Area Schools Hall of <br />Fame, along with his son Andrew who is received an award for academic achievement. Forest <br />Lake Area Schools recognizes those individuals for their worthwhile contributions in the areas of <br />academia, sports, and service. The Council stated this was a well deserved recognition of Mayor <br />Miron, and they recognized Mayor Fran Miron for his induction as one of the inaugural <br />inductees into the Forest Lake Area Schools Hall of Fame. <br />
