Library Kiosk Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Commissioner Dennis Hegberg, and Board members Gary Vidlock, Bonita Sindelir, John
Sievert, Marie Skinner,
Library staff explained the self-service center includes a computer kiosk and a place to pick up
and return books. The kiosk, which was made possible with a Library Services and Technology
Act Federal Grant, will allow anybody with a library card to access the library's collections and
databases. Requested books will be delivered and held for pickup in lockers outside the building.
Staff demonstrated how the lockers worked by allowing several people in attendance to open the
locker with a code and receive a coffee cup from the Washington County Library.
