CITY OF HUGO
CITY ADMINISTRATOR ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW
JUNE 8, 2009 at 9:00 A.M.
HUGO CITY HALL
Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 9:06 a.m.
PRESENT: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Weidt, Miron
ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mike Ericson and City Attorney Dave Snyder
City Administrator Mike Ericson addressed the Council as he reviewed the 2008 City Focus
Goals and status of each with general comments. He stated that 2008 will be most remembered
by the May 25th tornado disaster and the Hugo Fire Department's 100th Anniversary. The
tornado challenged the City but the response from the staff, Council, and Commissioners was
quick, compassionate and effective.
Mayor and Council Members offered their comments as well. Mayor Miron proceeded with
opening comments about the 18 rating categories. City Attorney Dave Snyder reported that he
had reviewed the three completed performance appraisals and provided an overall compilation of
the individual ratings with comments. Mayor and Council Members offered verbal comments on
each of the categories, which were ranked exceeded expectations, meets expectations, and does
not meet expectations. Overall, Mayor and Council were pleased with Mike's performance as he
was meeting Council's expectations.
Mike thanked the Council for its support and consistent communication which has been the key
to the overall effectiveness of the City Hall team, especially after the tornado disaster.
Weidt made motion, Haas seconded, to adjourn at 11:17 a.m.
