Minutes for the City Wide Bus Tour
Monday, September 14, 2009 at 4:30 p.m.
Present: Council Members Chuck Haas, Phil Klein, Becky Petryk, Tom Weidt, and Mayor Fran
Miron
Absent: None
Others Present: Community Development Director Bryan Bear, Senior Engineer Technician
Steve Duff, City Clerk Michele Lindau, Associate Planner Rachel Simone, Community
Development Assistant Dennis Fields, Interns Shayla Syverson and Shelly Clasen, Commission
Members, and other members of the public.
Participants of the City-wide bus tour met in the City Hall Parking Lot and boarded the bus for
departure at 4:30 p.m. The City wide bus tour involved a total of 20 sites and stops, which was
narrated by Community Development Director Bryan Bear with assistance from Senior
Engineering Technician Steve Duff.
Staff noted this was the fourth annual bus tour, and it was the largest thus far. This annual bus
tour is very helpful in understanding current and future City issues and has become more popular
each year with over 45 participants this year.
The tour concluded at the Rice Lake Centre at 6:30 where dinner was served to the participants.
The bus returned to Hugo City Hall at 7:30 p.m.
