MINUTES FOR THE EMERGENCY CITY COUNCIL MEETING, CITY OF HUGO, WEDNESDAY, <br />MAY 28, 2008 <br />The meeting was called to order. <br />PRESENT: Council Members Puleo, Petryk and Granger, Mayor Miron, City Administrator Ericson, David <br />Snyder, Public Works Director Chris Petree and Chief Compton <br />1.) Mike Ericson reviewed the visit by the Mayor to the Prindle family <br />2.) Hugo Relief Fund - $10,000 gift has been offered from Wilson Tool <br />3.) Chris Petree talks about debris removal and separation <br />a. Focusing efforts on damage of areas for remainder of week <br />b. Curbside removal will be Thursday and Friday <br />c. On Thursday at 3:00 p.m. household hazardous waste will be picked up <br />d. Volunteers on Saturday <br />e. Frattalone and Arnt will be working on evening of Saturday and thereafter <br />4.) Mike Ericson — Red Cross Services <br />a. Food will be at American Legion <br />b. Remote access phone number <br />5.) Credentialing <br />a. Still requiring it of contractors and insurance adjusters to avoid traffic issues and an <br />onslaught of solicitation of residents <br />6.) AG's office is available to assist homeowners to avoid bad contractors <br />7.) Volunteer efforts / lost and found — Nate Ehalt <br />a. We will send all volunteers to the Washington County Service Center <br />b. DNR is coming out tomorrow to clear the lake out <br />8.) Nate Ehalt took questions about Busing <br />9.) Mayor Miron took questions from the audience <br />10.) Audience members say thanks to the City for its efforts <br />a. Mayor Miron advised that 32 treated, 17 transported and 1 fatality <br />11.) Mayor Miron: <br />a. A resident mentioned the sirens <br />b. Another resident congratulated the City <br />12.) Bob Dettmer addressed the Council and thanked the City for its efforts <br />
