MAY 28, 2008
The meeting was called to order.
PRESENT: Council Members Puleo, Petryk and Granger, Mayor Miron, City Administrator Ericson, David
Snyder, Public Works Director Chris Petree and Chief Compton
1.) Mike Ericson reviewed the visit by the Mayor to the Prindle family
2.) Hugo Relief Fund - $10,000 gift has been offered from Wilson Tool
3.) Chris Petree talks about debris removal and separation
a. Focusing efforts on damage of areas for remainder of week
b. Curbside removal will be Thursday and Friday
c. On Thursday at 3:00 p.m. household hazardous waste will be picked up
d. Volunteers on Saturday
e. Frattalone and Arnt will be working on evening of Saturday and thereafter
4.) Mike Ericson — Red Cross Services
a. Food will be at American Legion
b. Remote access phone number
5.) Credentialing
a. Still requiring it of contractors and insurance adjusters to avoid traffic issues and an
onslaught of solicitation of residents
6.) AG's office is available to assist homeowners to avoid bad contractors
7.) Volunteer efforts / lost and found — Nate Ehalt
a. We will send all volunteers to the Washington County Service Center
b. DNR is coming out tomorrow to clear the lake out
8.) Nate Ehalt took questions about Busing
9.) Mayor Miron took questions from the audience
10.) Audience members say thanks to the City for its efforts
a. Mayor Miron advised that 32 treated, 17 transported and 1 fatality
11.) Mayor Miron:
a. A resident mentioned the sirens
b. Another resident congratulated the City
12.) Bob Dettmer addressed the Council and thanked the City for its efforts
13.) City Attorney
a. Says desire will be to consider a lifting of the state of emergency on Monday
14.) Motion to adjourn by Council Member Haas, seconded by Petryk, the meeting was
adjourned.
