RESOLUTION APPROVING SUBMISSION OF A CAPITAL BUDGET
REQUEST TO THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE FOR
CONSIDERATION IN THE 2014 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
WHEREAS, the Department of Finance is accepting requests for state appropriations for
capital improvement projects from local governments: and
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has identified water reuse projects for submission to the
Department of Finance for consideration in the 2014 Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, the bond proceeds may only be used for qualified capital expenditures
including pre-design/design expenses, project management, land acquisition,
construction, furnishings and equip; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, as follows:
1. The City Council of Hugo supports the above described project; and further
approves that a bonding request be submitted to the State of Minnesota
Department of Finance.
2. The City of Hugo will act as legal sponsor for the project contained in the capital
budget request to be submitted in January of 2014.
3. That the City of Hugo has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance, and
the institutional, managerial, and financial capability to ensure adequate
construction, operation, maintenance and replacement of the proposed project for
its design life.
UPON ROLL CALL THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS VOTING AYE: Bronk, Klein,
Petryk, and Weidt
UPON ROLL CALL THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS VOTING NAY: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 14'h day of January, 2014.
