A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND ORDERING THE
PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PROPOSED 165 TH
STREET IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, a Resolution adopted by the City Council on November 18, 2013, called for the City's
consultant City Engineer to prepare a feasibility study related to the proposed 165'
Street roadway and drainage improvements. The nature of the improvements include
roadway reconstruction, minor storm drainage, and appurtenant work; and
WHEREAS, such feasibility report was received by the City Council at the December 16, 2013,
regular City Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, a motion of the City Council adopted on December 16, 2013, fixed a date for a Public
Hearing on the proposed improvements to be held on February 3, 2014; and
WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given, and
the hearing was held thereon on the 3rd day of February, 2014, at which time all
persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO,
MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvements are necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the feasibility report.
2. Such improvement is hereby ordered as outlined in the feasibility report adopted the 16th day of
December, 2013.
3. The council has determined that this improvement has no relationship to the comprehensive plan.
4. The Council intends to reimburse itself for the cost of these improvements in part by assessments
to benefitted properties.
5. WSB & Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The engineer
shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
Whereupon said resolution was moved for adoption by Council member Klein and duly seconded by
Council member Bronk.
Council members voting AYE: Haas, Klein, Petryk, Bronk, Weidt
Council members voting NAY: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this I r day of March, 2014.
