A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF .49 ACRES OF
PROPERTY LOCATED AT CSAH 7/8 INTERSECTION FOR ROAD RIGHT-
OF-WAY
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo (Hugo) and Washington County (County) desire to
partner to realign and reconstruct County State -Aid Highway (CSAH) 8 between CSAH
7 and a point approximately 700 feet north, and
WHEREAS, the County provided a preliminary design and construction limits that
depict 0.49 acres of additional right-of-way to be acquired in order to complete the
project as proposed, and
WHEREAS, the County is responsible for the expenses related to the roadway
reconstruction and the City is responsible for the expenses related to the right-of-way
acquisition, and
WHEREAS, the property owners have cooperated with the County and Hugo on the
terms of the easement purchase, and
WHEREAS, the purchase price of the easement will be based on a $15,000 per acre
price.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, that
1. An easement agreement between Hugo and the property owners be approved.
2. The City Attorney is authorized to prepare the agreement for signatures, and
arrange for recording of the easement at Washington County.
Adopted by the City Council this 20'h day of October 201 .
