APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT DENYING VARIANCE TO FOR A SIDE
YARD SETBACK FOR A BUILDING AT THE PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED NORTH OF 122ND STREET AND EAST OF INGERSOLL AVENUE
WHEREAS, Gordon and Kathleen Gilde have requested a variance to locate a house 10
feet from the side property line where 20 feet is required by ordinance on property
described as follows:

WHEREAS, the Board of Zoning Adjustments and Appeals has reviewed the variance at
a duly called public meeting, and;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does deny the variance
requested by Gordon and Kathleen Gilde for property generally located north of 122" d
Street and east of Ingersoll Avenue based on the following findings:
1. The applicant has not identified unique circumstances to establish practical
difficulties in meeting the ordinance standards.
2. The variance would not be consistent with other homes in the neighborhood.
3. The spirit and intent of the ordinance would not be met because the entire length
of the proposed building area extends 10 feet into the required setback, reducing
the amount of open space intended by the ordinance.
