RESOLUTION NO 2012-16
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE BAYPORT LEGION
WHEREAS, The City of Hugo is generally authorized to accept donations of real and
personal property pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 465.03 for the benefit of its citizens in
accordance with the terms prescribed by the donor; and,
WHEREAS, the Bayport Legion conducts legal gambling at Sal's Angus Grill in Hugo; and,
WHEREAS, the Bayport Legion has offered to contribute a cash amount up to $3,000 and
WHEREAS, the donation has been contributed to the Hugo Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donations offered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO,
MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The donation described above is accepted and shall be used by the Hugo Fire
Department for purchase of equipment for the heavy rescue truck, as allowed by law.
2. The City of Hugo is hereby directed issue receipts acknowledging the City's
receipt of the donor's donation.
