APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT CHANGING TEXT
ON TABLE 7-1: CITY OF HUGO LOCAL PUBLIC PARKS and
MAP 2-A: EXISTING PARKS AND OPEN SPACE
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo Parks, Recreation and Open Space Commission, at their
meeting of October 13, 2010, recommended that the City of Hugo 2030 Comprehensive
Plan be amended to change text in Table 7-1: City of Hugo Local Public Parks to
add Irish Avenue Park, a 125 acre passive park, to add Hanifl Fields Athletic Park, an
active park of 25 acres and to list Rice Lake Park as a passive park of 45 acres.
Additionally, Map 2-A: Existing Parks and Open Space will have a text change of
renaming "Future Passive Park" as "Irish Avenue Park".
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo Planning Commission, at a public hearing on March 24,
2011, reviewed the proposed text change and recommended approval of the application
to the Metropolitan Council for the Comprehensive Plan Amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve a
Comprehensive Plan Amendment changing text on Table 7-1: City of Hugo Local Public
Parks and Map 2-A: Existing Parks and Open Space.
ADOPTED by the City Council this 0 day of April, 2011.
