RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
GUIDELINES
WHEREAS, The City worked to create a set of Commercial and Industrial Design Guidelines
with direction from the Planning Commission, the Economic Development Authority, and the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, The guidelines include a graphics and text that will be used to guide new
development in Hugo. They will be used in addition to the City's land use regulations and
Comprehensive Plan, and will provide additional guidance as property develops in the in the
commercial and industrial zoning districts; and
WHEREAS, At its July 28, 2011, meeting the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the
Commercial and Industrial Design Guidelines and recommended the City Council approve the
guidelines;
WHEREAS, At its August 1, 2011, meeting, the City Council approved the Commercial and
Industrial Design Guidelines;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUGO, MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does approve the Commercial and Industrial
Design Guidelines and the Downtown Master Plan.
Adopted and passed on this 1 st day of August 2011, by the Hugo City Council.
