RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING DAVID SCHUMANN FOR, HIS 18- YEARS OF
PUBLIC SERVICE ON THE PLANNINQCOMMISSION
CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, David Schumann served on the Planning Commission from August 25, 1993
to September 20, 2011; and
WHEREAS, David Schumann was appointed Vice Chair of the Planning Commission on
August 28, 1996 and served in that leadership role until February 5, 2001; and
WHEREAS, David Schumann was appointed Chair of the Planning Commission on
February 5, 2001 and served in that leadership role until his resignation; and
WHEREAS, David Schumann was appointed Chairman of the Board of Zoning on
February 5, 2001 and served in that leadership role until his resignation; and
WHEREAS, David Schumann served as participative member on the Planning Commission,
and Board of Zoning, on many significant planning projects; and
WHEREAS, David Schumann was instrumental in the development of the City's Downtown
Master Plan and Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, David Schumann has submitted his resignation effective September 20, 2011
and will be deeply missed by the Planning Commission, City Council, City
staff, and citizens of Hugo.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, that the Hugo City Council officially
recognizes David Schumann for his volunteerism and publicly thanks him for his 18 years of
dedicated public service to the City of Hugo.
Adopted and passed this P day of October, 2011 by order of the o City Council.
