A RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING FOR -THE PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED 124Th STREET NORTH, 124TH STREET COURT NORTH, IZ4TH STREET CIRCLE
NORTH, EUROPA AVENUE, FALCON AVENUE; FALCON COURT NORTH, GALLIVAN COURT
NORTH, AND 126TH STREET NORTH (LAKE AIR ESTATES/BALD EAGLE ESTATES) ROADWAY
AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the council on October 19, 2009, the City Engineer was
directed to prepare a Feasibility Report related to the improvement of the following roadways
within Lake Air Estates and Bald Eagle Estates:
• 124h Street North between Europa Avenue North and Falcon Avenue North
• 120 Street Court North
• 120 Street Circle North
• Europa Avenue North between a point approximately 1,000 feet south of 126`" Street North, southerly to
the cul-de-sac.
• Falcon Avenue between 125"' Street North and 126`" Street North
• Falcon Court North from 126`" Street North to the cul-de-sac
• Gallivan Court North
• 126'h Street North between Exhall Avenue North and Falcon Avenue North
WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed
improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed
or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as
recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for
affected parcels.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HUGO, MINNESOTA:
1. The council will consider the improvement of Lake Air Estates, Drainage, and
Utility Improvements and the assessment of affected property for all or a portion of the cost of the
improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of $879,800.
2. A hearing shall be held on the 7th day of November, 2011 at City Hall, 14669
Fitzgerald Avenue North on or after 7:00 p.m. to consider the improvements and at such time and
place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be
heard with reference to the proposed improvements.
3. The city clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed
project to be published twice in the official newspaper, with the second notice to be at least three
days prior to the hearing. The city clerk shall state in the notice the area proposed to be assessed,
the general nature of the improvements, and the total estimated cost of the improvement. She shall
also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel in the proposed assessment area not
less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing.
