RESOLUTION NO. 2010-15
CITY OF HUGO
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALLS BIDS AND ORDERING RE -ADVERTISEMENT
FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
HANIFL FIELDS ATHLETIC PARK SHELTER
Councilmember Hass introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption, seconded by
Petryk.
WHEREAS, Landform Professional Services, LLC ("Landform") has prepared the plans and
specifications for the construction of the Hanifl Fields Athletic Park Shelter, and
WHEREAS, all bids for the construction of the Hanifl Fields Athletic Park Shelter opened on
April 14, 2010, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it advisable upon the advice of its attorney to
reject all bids previously received and re -advertise for bids on the construction of the Hanifl
Fields Athletic Park Shelter because two of the apparent low bids appear to contain errors and
attempts to clarify those errors could prejudice other bidders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hugo,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. All bids opened on April 14, 2010 for the construction of the Hanifl Fields
Athletic Park Shelter are hereby rejected.
2. Landform shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City Newspaper
and the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such previously approved plans and specifications.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least ten (10)
days before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work to be done, shall
state the bids will be publicly opened on May 12, 2010 at 1:00 o'clock p.m. at the
Hugo City Hall in said City, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and
filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid
bond, or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent (5%) of the
amount of such bid.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Council hereby orders the Advertisement for Bids
for the construction of the Hanifl Fields Athletic Park Shelter.

This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Hugo on the 19th day of April,
2010, by a vote of five Ayes and no Nays.
