RESOLUTION RELATING TO HUGO TORNADO RELIEF GRANT
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUGO, MINNESOTA as follows:
1. The City of Hugo, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant", hereby acts as the
legal sponsor for the project contained in the Hugo Tornado Relief Grant to be
submitted on '2009 and that the City Administrator is hereby
authorized to apply to the Department of Employment and Economic
Development for funding of this project on behalf of the Applicant.
2. The Applicant has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance, and the
institutional, managerial, and financial capability to ensure adequate project
administration.
3. The sources and amounts of the local match identified in the application are
committed to the project identified.
4. The Applicant has not violated any Federal, State or local laws pertaining to
fraud, bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict of interest or other unlawful or
corrupt practice.
5. Upon approval of its application by the state, the Applicant may enter into an
agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above -referenced project, and that
the Applicant certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulation
as stated in all contract agreements.
BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the
applicant.

Petryk, Weidt, Miron
UPON ROLL CALL THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS VOTING NAY: None
I CERTIFY THAT the above resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of
Hugo, Minnesota, on July 6`h, 2009.
