A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO
APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE FOR THE CITY OF HUGO
WHEREAS, the City of Hugo initiated an update to its Comprehensive Plan in 2007,
consistent with the requirement in state law; and
WHEREAS, the City has held numerous open houses, workshops and meeting to discuss
each element of the plan; and;
WHEREAS, the City has communicated to residents, property owners and other
stakeholders through individual inquiries, mailed notices, newsletters, the City website
and news releases to local press; and
WHEREAS, the City may continue to make non -substantive changes to the
Comprehensive Plan Update; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the Plan at a duly called Public Hearing
and recommends approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the 2030
Hugo Comprehensive Plan update.
FURTHER, approval of the Comprehensive Plan update is contingent upon the required
six-month review by adjacent and affected jurisdictions; and
FURTHER, approval of the Comprehensive Plan update is contingent upon, and subject
to, the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council.
WHEREUPON, a vote being taken upon the motion, the following members voted in
favor: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron
The following voted against: None
ADOPTED by the City Council this 5th day of May, 2008.
