RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING CHRIS PETREE FOR HIS NINE YEARS OF
DEDICATED SERVICE AS THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR FOR THE
CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, Chris Petree was hired by the City of Hugo on July 12, 1999 and
served to July 31, 2008; and
WHEREAS, Chris Petree was hired as the City of Hugo's Maintenance Supervisor and
became Hugo's first-ever Public Works Director in 2001; and
WHEREAS, Chris Petree started with a pickup truck and a shovel; and
WHEREAS, The Hugo Public Works Department now has a 29,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art
public works facility with single and tandem axle plow trucks and a mechanics
bay with a full-time mechanic; and
WHEREAS, Chris Petree has created a professional public works department in the City of
Hugo, which recognizes the strength of all employees and empowers them to be
successful; and
WHEREAS, Chris Petree has been dedicated to the City of Hugo and the residents in the
community. His resignation is effective July 31, 2008 and he will be missed by
the City Staff, City Council, Residents, and Business Owners.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, that the Hugo City Council officially
recognizes Chris Petree for his commitment to quality and loyalty to the residents of Hugo and
publicly thank him for his nine years of dedicated public service to the City of Hugo.
Adopted and passed this 21st day of July, 2008 by order of the Hugo Cit Council.
