RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DOWNTOWN DESIGN GUIDELINES AND
DOWNTOWN MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, The City worked to create a set of Downtown Design Guidelines with direction
from the Planning Commission, the Economic Development Authority, the City Council and the
community at large; and
WHEREAS, The guidelines include a concept plan and text that will be used to guide new
development in the downtown area. They will be used in addition to the City's land use
regulations and Comprehensive Plan, and will provide additional guidance as property
redevelops in the downtown area; and
WHEREAS, At its March 22, 2007 meeting the Planning Commission held a public hearing on
the Downtown Design Guidelines and the Downtown Master Plan and recommended the City
Council approve the guidelines and plan;
WHEREAS, At its April 2, 2007 meeting, the City Council approved the Downtown Guidelines
and Downtown Master Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUGO, MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does approve the Downtown Design
Guidelines and the Downtown Master Plan.
Adopted and passed on this Ie day of April, 2007, by the Hugo City Council.
