RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING CLARENCE AND MAYME VAIL'S
80 YEARS OF MARRIAGE
WHEREAS, Clarence and Mayme Vail were married on February 17, 1925, and;
WHEREAS, Clarence and Mayme Vail have been married for 80 years, and;
WHEREAS, Clarence and Mayme Vail, who at 98 and 96 years of age, are the oldest living,
and longest married couple in the State of Minnesota and the United States, and;
WHEREAS, Clarence and Mayme Vail have lived on 145m Street, in the City of Hugo, for
most of their lives, and;
WHEREAS, The City of Hugo would like to publicly recognize this couple for this
outstanding achievement and wonderful demonstration of commitment and
love;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, That the Hugo City Council make this
public announcement and offer its sincere congratulations on this most distinguished and
deserving event honoring the sanctity of marriage.
