A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON
COUNTY, MINNESOTA, REQUESTING THAT A HEARING BE CONDUCTED BY
THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL'S LAND USE ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND
THE STATE OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONSIDERING AMENDMENTS TO THE METROPLITAN COUNCIL'S SYSTEM
STATEMENT
WHEREAS, The City has received a "system statement" from the Metropolitan Council
on September 14, 2005, and;
WHEREAS, the system statement includes forecasts for housing units, population,
employment, and sewer flow for the purposes of preparing amendments to the City's
Comprehensive Plan.
WHEREAS, the City and the Metropolitan Council have 60 days following receipt of the
system statement to resolve any differences between the City and the Metropolitan
Council related to the system statement.
WHEREAS, the City has advised the Metropolitan Council in a November 4, 2005 letter
to Ms. Phyllis Hanson of differences that the City has with the Metropolitan Council's
system statement forecasts.
WHEREAS, the City and the Metropolitan Council have not resolved the differences
prior to the expiration of the 60 -day period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does request that a
hearing be conducted by the Metropolitan Council's Land Use Advisory Committee and the
State Office of Administrative Hearings for the purpose of considering amendments to the
system statement.
Adopted and passed this 7 th day of November 2005.
