APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT DENYING THE PETITION FOR PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS FOR RESIDENTS ALONG 129TH STREET
WHEREAS, Property owners along 129' Street have signed and submitted a petition
requesting sewer and water improvements.
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the petition at their meeting on Decmeber 5h,
2005.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does deny the petition
for public improvements, based on the following findings:
1. The petition includes an anticipated cost of $400,000 for the improvements.
The City has not prepared a feasibility study and cannot agree that the
improvements will be performed for under $400,000.
2. The petition is for sewer and water improvements only. The City anticipates
that a sewer and water project will include improvements to the road and
improvements to the bridge on 1290 Street. Some of the cost associated with
the additional work may be assessed back to the property owners.
ADOPTED by the City Council this 19d day of December 2005.
